2010 Competitive Baseball Leagues

Want to play a higher level of baseball, we have the league for you.
Changes we have made because you asked, improved fields, more games, tournaments, good competition.

Games will begin April 12 and run through then end of June.
Discounted entry fees all DCC Sponsored Tournaments.
Games will be played at Antimi/Oakland Fields (9u/10u), American Legion (11u/12u), Atkins Fields (13u/14u).

If you are familiar with the Antimi complex it has 6 fields, a full concession stand,
shade structures for fans and no restrictions on food or drinks carried into the park.
Albert Oakland Fields are now ag-lime field and offer play when other fields are rained out.

2010 USSSA BASEBALL LEAGUES - COLUMBIA, MISSOURI

Diamond Council is accepting registration for its’ 2010 Competitive baseball leagues. 
This league will be sanctioned by the United States Specialty Sports Association (USSSA). 
This league will play two games per week, no double headers unless requested.  
All League fees include registration with USSSA, team Insurance, and game balls. 
In addition, teams may sign up for practice fields free of charge starting March 15.

Fee includes:
18 League Games (April-June).
USSSA team registration  & insurance.
Teams will be given 18 Game balls at the coaches meeting in March.
Discounts for DCC sponsored tournaments.
Enter one tournament and pay only $200, enter any other tournaments for $350.

If your team is not already registered with USSSA, the Diamond Council will register your team and managers MUST enter their team rosters on line in the USSSA and the DCC systems.  If your team is already registered with USSSA and/or have team insurance, you may deduct that fee from your $1400 league fee. 

Diamond Council offers an affiliation with USSSA Baseball to provide an opportunity for teams qualify for state and national championship play. For the 2010, the league is offering divisions in the following age groups: 14 & Under, 13 & Under, 12 & Under, 11 & Under, 10 & Under, and 9 & Under. 

14 & Under Open Division: Teams will play in a 14 & Under age group if 4 or more teams register in this division.  Teams will be scheduled for a total of 18 games and teams will play on fields set with 90-foot base and 60’6” pitching distances.  Games will be seven innings in length and will be played with a 1 hour, 45 minute time limit. Game times will be 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM.  Teams may request doubleheaders.   If not enough teams register for the this division we will play a mix 13/14u and use the 13u pitching. 

13 & Under Open Division: Teams will play in a 13 & Under age group if 4 or more teams register in this division.  Teams will be scheduled for a total of 18 games and teams will play on fields set with 80-foot base and 54’ pitching distances.  Games will be seven innings in length and will be played with a 1 hour, 45 minute time limit. Game times will be 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM.  Teams may request doubleheaders. Note:  If needed 13U and 14U Division may be combined  If combined, we will use 54’ pitching & 80’ bases.

12 & Under and 11 & Under Divisions: Teams will play in separate age groups if enough teams are available.  Teams will be scheduled for a total of 18 games and teams will play on fields set with 70’ base and 50’ pitching distances.  Games will be six innings in length and will be played with a 1 hour, 45 minute time limit. Game times will be 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM.  Teams may request doubleheaders.

10 & Under,  9 & Under Divisions: Teams will play in separate age groups if enough teams are available.  Teams will be scheduled for a total of 18 games and teams will play on fields set with 65’ base and 46’ pitching distances.  Games will be six innings in length and will be played with a 1 hour, 30 minute time limit. Game times will be 6:00 PM and 7:45 PM.  Teams may request doubleheaders.

We are accepting Whole team registrations and Individual player registrations.
Players that register individually will be drafted to teams, however, any player
that may not have the skill level to compete in this league will be placed in our recreational leagues.

Whole teams provide their own equipment and uniforms.

TOURNAMENTS: The league will hold tournaments in 2010, please see dates below. 
DCC league teams may enter as many as they want, the first one will cost the teams $200, each additional tournament will cost $350. 
Teams participating will be scheduled for two pool games and then seeded into a single elimination bracket.   
Teams will play at least one and most likely two pool games on Friday or Saturday with bracket play may start on Saturday and finish on Sunday.
We encouraging all teams to participate in these tournaments.  These tournaments are open to any team to enter including teams not in the DCC league. 
However, all non-DC League teams will pay a tournament entry fee of $400 (includes gate fee).

USSSA baseball rules are used to govern play.
Two umpires will be scheduled for all games.  
These teams play in a separate league from the neighborhood formed teams (Recreational). These are teams with more skilled players and register differently from the recreational players. Coaches recruit their own players enter this league as a whole team. This league will be sanctioned by the United States Specialty Sports Association (USSSA). USSSA teams are formed by age as of April 30th of the current year.
