The organized baseball/softball programs of the Diamond Council of Columbia, Inc. area present to you this information on your choices for baseball and softball for your children. It is intended to enable you to make well-informed choices for your child’s participation. |

2010 Tball (age as of 11/1/10)

Team rosters are limited to thirteen players assembled on a first come-first served basis by school. Boys and Girls are combined in this age group only. Game schedules and rosters will be distributed at the coach’s orientation meeting on August 9th. Coaches will contact team members and may begin practicing August 10th. Games will begin the week of August 23. Children that turn 5 by November 1, may play tball, however, please consider that they will not be able to move up to the next league until they meet the age requirements for that league. |

2010 Baseball - Boys (age as of 4/30/11) -

Team rosters are limited to thirteen players assembled on a first come-first served basis by school. Boys and Girls may play in all leagues, however, beyond the youngest, beginning levels, there are more boys then girls playing baseball. Game schedules and rosters will be distributed at the coach’s orientation meeting. Coaches will contact team members before practices, practices begin August 10th. Games will begin the week of August 24th.

6 Year Old - Coach Pitch / Tball |

In this league players continue to learn the basics of throwing, catching and hitting. Players advance from T-ball to coach pitch/Tball, coaches pitch to their players from 30'. After 6 pitches, player hits from a Tee. Games are an hour long and in this league players begin to learn more rules of the game. Teams use a RIF 10 Baseball.

In this league players begin to learn advanced throwing, catching and hitting. Players continue with coach pitch and have some games that will be Machine Pitch. Games are an hour long and in this league players develop advanced hitting skills. Teams use a RIF 10 Baseball.
In this league parents or coaches umpire the games. Coaches set the practice schedules. All teams will some Pitching Machine games and coaches and parents will be able to give us feedback to see if we continue with Machine Pitch in the future. |

Games are an 75 minutes long and in this league players begin to learn more rules of the game. Teams use real baseballs. In this league Diamond Council provides one umpire for the games. Coaches set the practice schedules. |

| Individual and Whole team registration for Competitive Leagues. Individual Registration for $70 and Whole team registration for $650. These teams play in a separate league from the neighborhood formed teams (Recreational). These are teams with more skilled players and register differently from the recreational players. Coaches recruit their own players enter this league as a whole team. This league will play two games per week, no double headers unless requested. If you are interested in forming a team for one of these leagues and may need additional players contact us at 573-499-9741 or email us. If you know of a player looking for a team, have them contact us to be put on the player contact list. |

| Coaches in these leagues must communicate to their players that these are competitive teams and players are not guaranteed equal playing time as in the recreational leagues. Coaches select players and parents and players understand that the coaches are not obligated to give equal playing time to all players. In addition to whole teams registering, we will be accepting individual player registrations for our competitive leagues. A Player Draft will held in early August, exact time and location to be determined. Any player that does not have the skills to participate in the competitive Leagues will be placed on a team in our recreational league. The cost for individual player registration is $70. |

Team Registration Fee: $650 Leagues (AGE as of 4/30/2011) Facility where games played9 & under Antimi/Albert Oakland Managers must go on-line on our Diamond Council website (www.diamondcouncil.net) and register your team, managers, and players. After you complete the process, you will be given a Team ID Number. Forward that number on to your players so they can go on-line and register and select your team. Managers will be responsible to pay the team league fee. When your players register on-line, they will not be charged. However, they must register on-line and pick your team so that they will be on your roster and have access to the team page and schedule. |
