Competitive Softball

Diamond Council offers a competitive league for whole teams.   This league provides teams a place to play more skilled players.  Coaches in these leagues must communicate to their players that these are competitive teams and players are not guaranteed equal playing time as in Recreation Leagues. Coaches select players and players select coaches with the understanding that the coaches are not obligated to give equal playing time to all players.

2012 USSSA SOFTBALL LEAGUES - COLUMBIA, MISSOURI

Diamond Council is accepting registration for its’ Competitive softball leagues.
This league will play two games per week, and will be mostly double headers.

Team Registration Fee: $650
10u & 12u Registration deadline Feb 15
14u Registration deadline Mar 15

Coaches Register/Create your team  on-line.   This creates your team in our Diamond Council system so that your players can then register and pick your team.

Players/Parents After your Coaches have created your team, Click Here, go through this registration process to get or your teams roster.  Be sure to select “Competitive Softball” on the player page, then pick your team on the Team Selection page.

Fees includes:
10U & 12U
12 Game schedule -   10 games guaranteed (mid-April-early June)
Plus Preseason Tournament – April 14/15, 2012 (3 Game guarantee)
(Teams needing us to register them with USSSA and get their team insurance, add $80)
Teams provide game balls for all games.

14U & 18U High School
12-14 Game schedule – 10 games guaranteed
14U teams must be USSSA sanctioned.
HS Teams will follow High School rules and will not be USSSA sanctioned
Teams provide game balls for all games.

10&Under Comp (8-10 Yrs) 12 Games - Game begin April  – Tuesday DH’s
12&Under Comp (11 & 12 Yrs) 12 Games - Game begin April  – Wednesday DH’s
14&Under Comp (13 & 14 Yrs) 12 Games – Games begin May  - Tues/Thu DH’s (one night)
18&Under High School (15-18 Yrs) 12 Games - Games begin in June – Mon/Tue/Wed DH’s (one night)

League Descriptions

10 & Under Competitive
Teams will be scheduled for a total of 12 games and playing on Tuesdays starting Mid-April. Games will be played at Antimi Complex located in Cosmo Park. Games will be six innings in length and will be played with a 1 hour and 20 minute time limit. Game times will be 6:00 and 7:30 PM. USSSA Fastpitch Rules are used for these divisions, except teams will be allowed to bat the roster and have free substitution.

12 & Under Competitive
Teams will be scheduled for a total of 12 games and playing double headers on Wednesdays starting Mid-April. Games will be played at Antimi Complex located in Cosmo Park. Games will be seven innings in length and will be played with a 1 hour and 20 minute time limit. Game times will be 6:00 and 7:30 PM. USSSA Fastpitch Rules are used for these divisions, except teams will be allowed to bat the roster and have free substitution.

14 & Under Competitive

Games will be seven innings in length and will be played with a 1 hour and 20 minute time limit. Game times will be 6:00 and 7:30 PM. USSSA Fastpitch Rules are used for these divisions, except teams will be allowed to bat the roster and have free substitution.

18 & Under Competitive (15-18 yr)
Teams will be scheduled for a total of 12 games and playing double headers on Monday, Tuesdays, or Wednesdays starting late-May or early June.  Rained out games will not be made up, however, 10 games will be guaranteed.  Games will be played at Antimi Complex located in Cosmo Park. Games will be seven innings in length and will be played with a 1 hour and 20 minute time limit. Game times will be 6:00 and 7:30 PM. If needed a 9:00 game time will be played.  We will follow high school rules of play, however teams will be allowed to bat the roster and have free substitution. Teams do not have to be USSSA registered, however, all players must have their own insurance in order to participate. All players must be in 9th-12th grade in fall of 2011. Travel teams and High School teams may enter.
