Umpires
A great way to make extra money working evenings and helping your community is to become an umpire!  You must be 15 years-old by April 15.  New and experienced umpires are needed for this Season.  Diamond Council will provide training clinics and help you get started.

Competitive League Umpires
Diamond Council also hires umpires for its' competitive leagues, for more information about umpiring in our competitive leagues, please contact our office for more information 573-499-9741.

Below is a list of the leagues and dates of play.  All games will have two umpires scheduled.  Anyone interested to umpire, please download our Umpire Registration Packet Here.

The season is rapidly approaching, games will start in mid April.   We would like you to let us know if you plan to Umpire this coming and how much you wish to work.   We will need umpires for our AA Baseball leagues and our Girls competitive softball leagues.

Mr. Ron McMillan is the Umpire-In-Charge (UIC) for our Competitive Baseball and Fastpitch leagues,
and he is hosting clinics to help prepare everyone for the leagues.

The Diamond Council of Columbia, Inc. will have a several clinics prior the start of the season.  
Below is a list of those clinic that you must attend. 
Any team coaches that would like may attend umpire clinics.

Baseball Dates:
March 16th, 5:30 until 7:10 at the Boone Electric Community Room, Park in the lot nearest Everett’s Restaurant
March 18th, 7:25 until 9:00 at the Quality Inn on Providence Road.
Come into the Lobby and we will be in a Conference room to the Left.
April 8th, 5:30 until about 8:30 at Antimi Fields, we will meet in the Umpire Room
which is the second floor of the Concession Building.

Softball Dates:  
All the same place notes just different times or days.
March 16th, 7:25 until 9:00 at Boone Electric
March 18th, 5:30 until 7:10 at Quality Inn
April 7th, 5:30 until about 8:30 at Antimi Fields.

Please be prompt, as always I have more to say that time to say it, and I want you to have plenty of time for questions.

Umpires in our leagues will need to wear the following uniform:  Baseball:  Navy Shirt, gray pants, black shoes.   (USSSA);   Softball:  Red or Navy blue shirt, gray pants, black shoes.  (USSSA);  All umpires will need to provide their own equipment (face mask, shin guards, chest protector, plate brush, and clicker).
