Umpires

A great way to make extra money working evenings and helping your community is to become an umpire!  You must be 15 years-old by January 1, 2008.  New and experienced umpires are needed for the Spring/Summer 2008.  Diamond Council will provide training clinics and help you get started.

We have classroom and several mechanics clinics that are mandatory.  Please mark your calendars for these dates.

Additional training dates will be set for the first of April.  When those are set, we’ll let you know.

Umpires in our leagues will need to wear the following uniform: 
Baseball:  Navy Shirt, gray pants, black shoes.   (USSSA)
Softball:  Powder blue shirt, gray pants, black shoes.  (ASA)

All umpires will need to provide their own equipment (face mask, shin guards, chest protector, plate brush, and clicker).
