Walk In Registration available at Red Weir and Play It Again Sports if you need to pay by check or cash. Registration forms are also available at Dick’s Sporting Goods and MC Sports to pick up and mail in to the Diamond Council.

2012 Registration is open now. Our initial deadline has past, however, we are still accepting registrations.

2012 Spring Break Baseball Camp

When: Monday, March 26^th through Wednesday, March 28^th

Time: Drop off between 8:00-8:15am with instruction beginning at 8:15am. Instruction concludes each day at 12:00pm with final pickup of players by 12:15pm.

Where: Antimi Fields, Cosmo Park – Columbia, MO

Cost & Registration: Cost per player is $45. Cost includes instruction and camp T-shirt

Who: Any youth between the ages of 7 and 11 who enjoys playing, learning, and increasing their baseball skill and ability.

Refund Policy: Refunds will be allowed only up to March 20^th as scheduling the appropriate number of coaches will be integral to the quality of the camp program. A $20 processing fee will be applied to any refund.

Camp Coaches: A ratio of approximately 1 coach to 6 players will be offered. Camp instruction will be provided primarily by Diamond Council coaches, along with special guest, capable of instructing the various age groups attending the camp.

Instruction: Camp coaches will provide instruction based on age and overall skill ability. All campers will receive instruction on all the fundamentals of baseball including: throwing, catching, fielding, hitting, and base running.

DC Spring Softball Registration is in full swing. To sign up for leagues, go under 2012 Reigstration. The deadine to register is February 18.

Balls and Strikes Christmas Break Extended Hours

Balls and Strikes is offering extended hours over the holiday. They are open 10:00am-8:00pm and offering discounts. $5 per half hour per person and $10 per hour per person for tunnel rental.

DC Board Meeting

Diamond Council Board meeting will be held January 31st at 6:30pm at the Boone Electric Community Room. The meeting is open, and we invite anyone to attend that has an interest in the Diamond Council and our programs.

Balls N Strikes Pro Day – Dec 3rd @ 2pm

Balls N Strikes is hosting a Pro Day on December 3rd at 2:00 pm.

Brian McRae, Joe Crede, and Blake Tekotte all former and current MLB players are coming in to speak and demonstrate drills. The event is December 3, 2011 2-4pm. Theere is a $5 charge per person and all proceeds will go to the Joplin Relief Fund.

Located just inside

COSMO PARK ON THE GOLF COURSE

Enter Cosmo Park; at Roundabout take second right,

Go North, on you left is a parking lot, enter the parking lot,

On the North end of this parking lot there is a road leading

Towards the golf course, the Equipment Shed is located just west

Of this parking lot. Please park in the parking lot and carry equipment

back to the shed. Please do not drive up to the equipment shed

High School Softball Districts

Mizzou Baseball Joplin Benefit – UPDATE

Mizzou vs Iowa Benefit game for Joplin, Saturday and Sunday, Ocotober 8-9, Simmons Field at Taylor Stadium. Saturday 12:30 PM - Sunday 1 p.m. Admission $5, All proceeds go to Joplin Little League.
