Diamond Council of Columbia, Inc. is one of the premier Mid-Missouri youth baseball and softball programs. We are committed to provide area kids the very best in Missouri youth baseball and softball.

The Diamond Council of Columbia, Inc. (DCC) is a non-profit, fee-based, volunteer organization dedicated to the provision of youth athletic programs. Established in 1963 in Columbia, Missouri, we are dedicated to providing quality baseball and softball programs for the youth of Columbia and surrounding communities in Boone County, Missouri. The emphasis of the program is to develop individual and team skills, enhance self-esteem, and to have fun in a supervised environment. Teams are generally developed based on neighboorhood schools.

BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL LEAGUES
Recreational Baseball / T-Ball - The 5-8 yr old leagues are non competitive and everyone plays every game. BBplayer
Recreational Umpired Baseball (9-12 yr) - Teams will play other DCC teams of the same age and everyone plays every game.
High School Age Baseball (13-18 yr) - These teams play a more competitive style of baseball using modified or full High School rules, but are not affiliated with school teams.
Recreation Softball - The DCC softball program offers teams from 6-8 yrs.
Recreation Umpired Softball Leagues- will be offered for 9-18 yr olds Softball.
Competitive Baseball Leagues / Tournaments - Whole Teams may sign up for Competitive Baseball Leagues ages 9-14 yrs. Tournament dates will be announced later.
Competitive Softball Leagues - Whole Teams may sign up for Competitive Softball Leagues ages 9-18 yrs.
New for 2009, We have several changes for in store for 2009.
1) Leagues for children 5-8 years old will be single age division leagues.
2) New Age Cut off dates - Tball must be 5 by August 1, 2009; Boys leagues age as of April 30; Girls age as of January 1
3) Recreational Leagues - We are changing to have one season May 1-June 30. We will no longer have a spring and summer season, we are combining and will have one longer season that will include 16 games.
4) Competitive Leagues for Baseball and Softball season start mid-April

INCLEMENT WEATHER INFORMATION
RAIN HOTLINE 573-874-7663

Inclement Weather. Umpires will use their own judgment on the delay or cancellation of games due to weather conditions at the start or during a game. Games will not be played if it is determined such play might result in injury to players or serious damage to the playing fields. If lightning or severe weather is present, immediate action will be taken to delay or cancel the game and the players from the field. Columbia Parks and Recreation will monitor weather conditions and inspect the playing fields to determine if the fields are playable. If the fields are deemed not playable, the games scheduled for those fields will be canceled by 4:00 p.m. The local radio stations will be notified of any cancellations. This information will be available on the SPORTS HOTLINE (874-7663). If no announcements of cancellation have been received, assume the game will be played. DO NOT CALL THE RADIO STATIONS. Rainout Make-up Dates, Rain dates are included in the schedule. Rainouts may also be scheduled for Saturday and Sundays if necessary. Rainout schedules will be mailed to the coaches as soon as they are known.
